Chilled ceilings
The Barcol-Air delivery program does
not only offer air distribution equipment, but also chilled
ceilings. This REDEC chilled ceiling system has been
developed by Barcol-Air AG; our Swiss sister company. The
system can be combined with any type of metal ceiling panel,
regardless of the size. This gives users the freedom to adapt
the ceiling to their esthetic wishes, in combination with
a comfortable indoor climate.

| Principle
In chilled ceilings, heat exchange
mainly takes place through radiation. As a result of this,
both air speed in the room and sound production are low.
Through years of experience and a patented design of the various
components, maximum thermal transfer between water flowing
through the copper tubes and the ceiling surface of the room
has been created. This cools the whole ceiling surface down
equally, which makes a maximum heat intake possible.
The maximum functioning of the chilled ceiling is shown on
the thermography picture on the right.

Technique
The patented construction consists
of a special-shaped aluminum heat conducting rail that is
attached to the back of the ceiling panel with a permanently
elastic material. A calibrated copper tube is pressed in the
heat conducting rail, which creates a remaining contact on
the whole length between the surfaces.

 Special hoses with push-on
couplings guarantee a fast and simple link between the activated
panels and water supply connection. The link has been equipped
with two special rings and an RVS tightening plate. This guarantees
a leakproof connection and a fast assembly. |

| Control technique
Moreover, Barcol-Air offers a range
of control components. These will make your installation function
on a maximum level, with possibilities for individual room
control.
The control components can be linked
by providing a Building Management System. Please contact
us for more information.
